Bay Area Technology Apprentice Program

The purpose of this group is to bring together working technology professionals (mentors) with local college students (apprentices) in the Bay Area to work on summer projects. We will kick things off with mixers for potential mentors/apprentices in the late spring. There will be separate regional mixers and ongoing BayTAP activities for San Francisco, the East Bay, and the South Bay. Teams of 2 or more apprentices working with 1 or more mentors will work in two week sprints over the summer. We will bring the teams in each region back together at least once during the summer to check on team progress. In the fall, we will get together as a group again where teams will give demos and lightning talks of their work done over the summer.
