Come join the BCGolfPages Meetup Group for some golf and socializing this spring and summer. We will be hosting a Meetup every second Sunday at either Central Park Pitch & Putt or Kensington Pitch & Putt.

Pitch and Putt is ideal for beginner golfers, so if you are new to golf come on out! I have been to over 40 golf lessons / clinics and I am sure I can help you with your swing, just let me know and we can pair up for 18 holes.

Pitch & Putt is great way for the seasoned golfer to sharpen his short game as well. Did you know that whether you shoot 72, 92 or 122; Sixty five percent of your shots will come from 100 yards or less? Pitch and Putt is essential to becoming a better player and taking your game to the next level.

These meet-ups are non-competitive and the emphasis is on fun and meeting new people but hopefully we can all get a little better at golf as well.

After each round we will have a social gathering at a local pub or restaurant for those that are interested. The Great Bear Pub has offered our group 2 for 1 meal entrees after our events plus  BCGolfPages.com  will donate a couple of hat combos to each event.

I am looking for other sponsors to donate some prizes as well, I have a couple lined up and I will keep you guys posted on the progress.

    Cost:
The cost is $10.75 plus tax and everyone will pay their own way at each event when they arrive.

    Bingo Bango Bongo League Play:

For some added excitement, I have our first official trophy and I invite you to challenge for the title of Bingo Bango Bongo Points Champion. There is no cost to participate and this game is a ton of fun.

Here is how the league and the game works:

There will be 12 stops in the BBB League running from every two weeks starting April 14 and ending September 15.

Members will submit their best point totals from 7 of the 12 Official league dates, if we get rained out we will hold a make-up event the following Sunday.

We divide golfers into 3 flights to ensure you will be competing against players of similar ability. To add some excitement and lessen the chance of ties, we will have an achievement hole for 10 additional bonus points each time we play.

Flight A: is for those who regularly shoot between 54 and 66
Flight B: is for those that regularly shoot between 67- 79
Flight C: is for those that shoot 80 and above

The achievement hole for 10 bonus points shall always be as follows:

Flight A must birdie the longest hole on the front 9
Flight B must birdie the shortest hole on the front 9
Flight C must par the longest hole on the front 9

How to Play Bingo Bango Bongo:
In Bingo Bango Bongo, points are awarded for three types of achievements. The first player in a group to get his ball on the green gets a point (bingo). The player in the group whose ball is closest to the pin once all balls are on the green gets a point (bango) and the player in the group who is first to hole out gets a point (bongo).

Bingo Bango Bongo gives weaker players a chance to earn points because what matters is being first at something. The player who hit the worst tee shot (farthest from the hole) plays first, and so has the first shot at winning the bingo point.

So, too, with closest to the pin; the best players in the group are likely to be on the green in one), while the weakest players might be chipping. The closest-to-the-pin point is only earned once all balls are on the green, so the player who has hacked it up to the hole may be sitting just off the green and chipping - giving that player a great chance to pick up the bango point.

This is going to be a ton of fun and A BIG THANK YOU to our newest Meetup Group Sponsor: Van Trophy for donating our Trophy.
