Saturday Morning Pitch & Putt at Kensington Park

Come join the BCGolfPages Meetup Group for some golf and socializing this spring and summer. We will be hosting a Meetup every second Sunday at either Central Park Pitch & Putt or Kensington Pitch & Putt.

Pitch and Putt is ideal for beginner golfers, so if you are new to golf come on out! I have been to over 40 golf lessons / clinics and I am sure I can help you with your swing, just let me know and we can pair up for 18 holes.

Pitch & Putt is great way for the seasoned golfer to sharpen his short game as well. Did you know that whether you shoot 72, 92 or 122; Sixty five percent of your shots will come from 100 yards or less? Pitch and Putt is essential to becoming a better player and taking your game to the next level.

These meet-ups are non-competitive and the emphasis is on fun and meeting new people but hopefully we can all get a little better at golf as well.

After each round we will have a social gathering at a local pub or restaurant for those that are interested.

Cost:

The cost is $10.75 plus tax and everyone will pay their own way at each event when they arrive.

Here is our schedule:
March 1 - 11:00 am Central Park Pitch & Putt

I regret that these meetups changed to Saturday, because realistically I cannot make it to the 11 am start time as I have another Saturday am commitment until that time.

Hi Enid, that is a shame, would an earlier tee time help? I am thinking we could do 8:30 or 9 and then have more of the day left for everyone.

Yes it is a shame. However an earlier tee time does not work. I could maybe, maybe make it by 11:30; realistically it would more likely be 11:45 - 12:00 noon. My regular Sat. event does end about 10:45, but travel time to Kensington from there is about 40-55 minutes.

Hey Guys, I am sorry but I am feeling under the weather today, (pardon the pun) and I am going to cancel. I believe this is the first time I have ever done this. Sorry about this guys. See you in tow weeks

Hi Guys, we are down to 4 people and it is forecast to downpour right around the time we tee off. Not to be a wet blanket or anything but I am leaning to cancelling this meetup. Is anyone else leaning on cancelling?

Hi Ray, it's pouring where I am so am going to cancel. Thanks for arranging the pitch and putts again this year and see you next time.

Darn. Going to have to say no this time - it's a bit too early for me, and I need to work tomorrow anyway. Hope the weather holds for you all!

Hey Gang, I hear you, we won't be golfing in steady rain that's for sure. If it is cloudy or showers though, I will still go. Since there is no reservation system at the pitch and putts cancelling isn't as big of a problem as it is with the full sized courses.

Sorry to opt out - I have a previous commitment. See you at the next one!

Looks like I won't be there tomorrow, do not golf in RAIN

    March 14, 2014

  • Sally K.

since I am new at this I have no idea about your rain policy. Also how do you cancel if it is necessary? Thanks

    March 13, 2014

    • Ray

Hi Sally, we cancel in the event of heavy or steady rain. Light rain or showers and we typically go. If you need to cancel , all you have to do is change your RSVP status on this Meetup Page. I see you still haven't RSVP'd yet. If you are planning on coming then please RSVP Yes above.

Hi Ethel, we play the picthc and putt courses every two weeks on Saturday and rotate between Kensington & central Park. Of course we also have other meetups for the larger courses on weekends and Monday, plus golf clinics on Tuesdays. I hope to see you out at a Meetup soon Ethel. thanks for joining the group

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
