Join Travis County Staff for an interpretive hike at the BCP tract in Jollyville (near the intersection of Boulder Lane and 620). This specific hike will be held at night, which will give participants an opportunity to listen and see some of the wildlife active at dusk. On the way, we will visit a cave which houses endangered invertebrates, and also walk through Golden Cheeked Warbler and Black Capped Vireo habitat.
The hike is of moderate difficulty, so come with appropriate footwear (hiking boots suggested; no flip-flops). Also, be sure to bring sunscreen/hat, insect repellant, drinking water, and any snacks you may need. Hike is restricted to participants 8 years and older.
*Note* - Specific directions will be given to hike participants one week in advance of the hike, since this is an office location.
