Which level of play in this group best describes your skills ? Don't choose a level above your previous playing experience (your current level, not what you WANT to play) Do NOT indicate a #, indicate the actual level (Rec, int, Adv etc)

I have read the Group Guidelines/Skill levels (in Discussions/Msg Board/Must Read) to understand how the group works. Contained in the Guidelines is a response that you must provide here. The response must be correct to show you read & agree.
Please note that by choosing to join this group, it means that you have acknowledged and agreed with the Liability Waiver, located on the Pages section. Please confirm with a "YES". If you don't answer yes, you may not particpate with the group.

We play up to 5 levels and up to 9 nets with the occassional beach BBQ. Leagues too expensive, not "good enough" for other groups ? Want to play Competitive level with lots of other like minded people or want to play just for fun ? Want to play at the beach .. just you and 50-100 friends ? Regardless of your skill level, come out and join us. We have a perfect level for you !! The small fee is used to purchase new equipment and fund future events. Fees are $3-5 per outdoor event or a fixed upfront fee for the season (the fixed option can only be paid going forward, previous fees paid will not be deducted). Equipment purchased to date: Meetup Fees - approx $600 2008 & 2009: over $2,500
2010 - 2 sun canopies, misc repairs and accessory replacements, other - approx $500
2011 - additional sun canopy to replace damaged one, additional nets, lines and new balls, portable BBQ, 1 new - Approx $700
Total investment to date - approx $4,200
We are now capable of setting up 9 full courts without relying on people to bring their own nets which is a hit or miss proposition. We have to start early in the morning to make sure we get enough courts. We can also set up 4 courts on days where the beach courts are taken over by tournaments. Members are welcome to drop by later in the afternoon if they have not signed up and if there is space (others having left early) then you are welcome to join in. We will play Saturdays or Sundays (usually alternating) and occassional weeknights too
Please note - Please read our Group Rules and Guidelines before signing up for any volleyball events - (in Discussion/message board) Please only sign up if you plan on attending. Repeat offenders will be removed from the group. 2 strikes and you are out. Strikes only for team events and events with reservations.
Our events have up to 130 members attend. This means things have to be well organized and members are expected to follow the rules and guidelines or the event will turn into chaos. If you follow our rules and guidelines, you will have a lot of fun meeting new people and having fun in the sun.
Beach rules (for Prog 4's, Advanced and Competitive levels only) - see the discussion boards For indoor beach bookings, any no shows or late bail outs will be immediately removed from the group since we have to pay for court rental and a no show makes everyone else pay more to play. Please do not RSVP unless you intend on coming out.
I have split off and created a new seperate Snowboarding group so those of you who are only interested in Snowboarding can join there for snowboarding specific trips for next season http://www.meetup.com... http://www.meetup.com
