  • Hey everyone!!

Are there any West Enders interested in meeting up for a West End Boardwalk stroll?? I am thinking of meeting around the parking lot near Colborne Lodge drive and Lakeshore.

My senior beagle Jake doesn't have the speed anymore to keep up with the young pups in a game of tag, but still has great endurance for longer walks. I am also trying to "re-train" Jake to tolerate other dogs better and what better way to do that than with a whole pack of dogs??

Jake and I would love to meet other beagle enthusiasts :)

So I am throwing it out there to see if there is any interest and we can set a date soon!

I also live in Etobicoke and recently adopted a 1 year old lovely beagle boy from Kentucky who is missing his buds from where he was fostered after being rescued in Kentucky. I would love to be a part of making a group happen in this area. Also, Barby Wolfish, could you send me the other information about the other group? Thanks so much!

Hi Sarah. Which rescue did you adopt from? All of our fosters have been from Kentucky. The organization I mentioned is called Paws on the Shore. They have a website and a Facebook page.

I too live in Etobicoke, and foster beagles, but don't have a lot of time (I actually own a pet store and work 6 days a week). However, there is an organization that meets every once in awhile in the west end for walks, and they specifically say they will help you if your dog needs help with tolerating other dogs. I could have sworn it was called Paws by the Lake but I can't find it on Google. I will try to find out and I can let you know. Can you email me your email address at [masked]?
