The Vancouver Area Beagle Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

Hello fellow beagle lovers!!!  I wanted to put a challenge out to all our members to submit a dog park that would be suitable for us to have MEETUPS at that we presently don`t have in our rotation.  And by suitable the main requirement is BEAGLE PROOF!!!  A park HAS to be FULLY FENCEDand this means no spaces or holes that a BEAGLE can get through.  Even if your beagle doesn`t go through the little holes here and there....some will ...and in full beagle fashion, the lil hunters will all follow suit!!!  Although not requirements, if you can let me know if the pasrk has the folowing things, that would be great too...

-water for dogs to drink

-bathroom for owners

-any sort of shelter (trees or something freestanding AKA Brookswood and Serpentine)

-parking situation (lot or on the street...far from park or near...not much, plenty etc)

-water fountain for owners

-poop bags

I`m going to oost on our MESSAGE BOARD too so you can email me directly or/and post on the MESSAGE BOARD.

I`d really like to expand our park locations, especially to get out there and explore whats in your neighborhood and get back to me.  :-)

I would love to see Andy Livingstone park used. It is fully fenced with double gates, grass and a sandpit. The address is 89 Carrall St, Vancouver, BC V6G 1Z4, Canada and there is parking on Expo Boulevard. If we use this park, I have a beagle hat to give away! I don't have a car so I can't make it to meet-ups that are outside of Vancouver. The other really great fully fenced parks in Vancouver are Olympic Village park near Columbia and 1st, and Emery Barnes park, between Richard and Seymour, Davie and Helmcken.

Hi I'm new to the Beagle meet up group and also live in Vancouver. Thank you for the suggestions of fenced dog parks. All the off lease parks in our area do not have fences.

Hi fellow Beagle Meet-uppers, Sadie and I will not be at any meet-ups in this remaining year, she has had to have CCL surgery on her knee, and is out of commission until next year perhaps. We are busy at home holding paw, and trying to keep her entertained and interested. Just imagine, no running, no jumping and no stairs for a minimum of 3 months, Yikes!!!!!We hope to see all of the Beagles again next year. Hugs, Meredith, Eric, and Sadie.

another thought: perhaps if you're worried about parking in Vancouver, you could schedule two simultaneous meet-ups: one for us Vancouver folks, and one that is more distant. I would love the opportunity to meet up with people closer to home and would hate to see it rejected just because there is less free parking in the city.

Have u tried Kennedy park in Surrey? It has water for the dogs, poop bags, some free standing tree's, and is well fenced. It is a smaller park better for winter months as a lot of dogs show on the nice days!. Some lot parking and some street parking.

Has Hume Park in New Westminster been submitted? It is a long L shaped park, with lots of sun and shade. It's on the upper side of the park, with a little bit of parking, but the lower side of the park has tons of parking and is a few minutes away on a trail. Bathrooms for humans are in the park, there were tons of poopbags brought by humans there today too! Also, there is a dog park in south burnaby edmonds area...a few blocks east of griffiths and edmonds. I frequent that one too!

Looking forward to getting Stampy out since he sprained his ankle 4 weeks ago. He has been itching to get some action in- hopefully he doesn't tweak it :/

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
