How about , Buntzen Lake off leash dog park ? It might be a bit to far for some , and it may be better in the summer with the lake , just a suggestion woof Woof .

Jane is correct , on weekends and holidays they usually shut the gates at 10 am even though there is still a lot of parking stalls free. I am not sure if its a great Idea after all ,we usually get there much earlier.

We have been there many times ,if you stay in the main area its pretty secure mind you we hike around the entire lake with both our Beagles off leash. I vote yes : )
There are spaces in the bush that our beagle easily walked around, I haven't been there recently so this may not be the case now, but as far as I've heard this has not been changed...
Can someone let me know if they can only get around the fence through the water? If thats the case then i will go because Ozzy and Austin wont go in the water.

I can't go if it is not fully fenced in. Ozzy and Austin will be gone. The distance isn't an issue but the fencing is. "The Bratty Beagle Duo" I like to take them where I am not going to have to leash them as they have to be leashed to go out at home and for their walks so the parks are really the freedom they need.
I agree, this park is not fully fenced, and my Sadie will try to escape into the woods, not a place I frequent even though I live close in Port Moody, not a great place for Beagles.

Once the parking lot is full they close the park - this usually happens by 10:00am on a nice hot weekend day. it starts to thin out by 4:00pm but there is a chance not everyone will get in if its busy... and it's always busy. :)
Lore is correct. The park is not fully fenced and dogs can easily get around the fence in the water and off into the woods. It is beautiful park and with my two older beagles who don't escape as much as they used to, the park is fine. Bring your own bags for clean up as the park doesn't supply any.
The only problem with this park is that it isn`t fully fenced...or at least it wasn't the last time we were there. our beagle ended up on the other side of the fence through the bush and the water is open after the fencing ends....I do love this park and recommend anyone check it out if you have never been...its beautiful :-)
