I am sorry to hear that, but cancer is a hard disease that even humans prefer to rest in peace.
Memories are the best that life leave us and specially the our best and unconditional friend,
God bless you for your love to the animals and I wish you find another beagle not to replace Maddie but fill your good heart with love.
My Beagle Maddie died today from cancer and age, I will never have another Maggie but I have room in heart for another beagle maybe in the spring. As much as law miss her I need time to repair my heart now, it is not lose one and find another. More to it then that. She went to beagle who spent 3 years in a back yard with no holes in a fence that she could not see thru and sleep in a crate with tons of blankets to my house under the cover of my bed with me and day and over night trips in the back seat of my car. Dog parks dog walks and many many visits over night with my grandchildren and under covers there also and shed every where. She got to romp with a blk lab and a Doberman many times at the grandkids house.
so I will looking for short nose smaller type beagle in the future as rescue for sure buy younger them Maggie she was 6? when I got her?
