Kathy - On 9/24/13 I left a note for Mo. "...would you rather I say "Yes" and maybe not be able to come or say "No" and possibly be able to make it? Sep 24, 2013 6:41 AM" Since I have not yet heard back I will ask you as well - which do you prefer " would you rather I say "Yes" and maybe not be able to come or say "No" and possibly be able to make it?" Don't want to inconvenience the group, restaurant or organizer nor be irresponsible so please advise.
Welcome Kathy! Hope to see you at a meetup soon.
RE: And yes, you said you waved at me at the MOS lecture so I knew where the group was, and I sent you a note thanking you.” That was not what happened. You came in, trying to find a seat. I waved, from a seat in the front row(which I got because I was there on time). You did not see me or give any sign of recognition. I was not trying to let you know where the group was, because I did not know who was there from what group. It is OK you may be a little confused. It happens.
Hi Kathy, Please be more specific, you remember NLP. RE:it is a pattern with you to keep a spot in meetups, not change your RSVP, and then not attend. No I do not. RE: I know people who missed great events because you held a spot and then didn't attend. Who? Specifically? RE: Are you willing to consider the possibility that your system is not working for the community you are part of? No, because it is just you making unfounded contentions. I have had these discussions with Meetup organizers,
There have been times when an organizer has been a little frustrated with me. Usually because said organizer was a megalomaniac, with a frail ego, or a micromanager. I have an agreement with many organizers. I RSVP early, in part because it helps the Meetup. If I do not attend, they are usually very understanding. I have missed some because I was bumped from waitinglist to going without my doing anything. I do not spend all my time online to check it out. Nice talking, thanx for the headsup, dale
Re:That inconveniences other people in Meetup. Do you mean to inconveience organizers and other guests? No. RE:On the few times I met you in person, you seemed smarter and nicer than that.” Thank you. I have run Meetups & I regularly advise Meetup organizers on best practices, to help them. There are things to do with internal systems& procedures that one who has not been a Meetup organizer most likely would not notice. I am fine with all the organizers of groups I frequent, cont.
I was right in front of you, you sat in the second row. You walked by the front row, late, who cares, I was waving to you. I don't know maybe I am invisible, but seriously as one who has studied NLP, etc. you know how frail human attention is.RE: Are you the invisible man of meetup? Maybe. Re: A number of times I've noticed you "no showed" for events with long wait list. How many times? What Meetups? I do miss at times, but I remove my name when I see a waitlist & am unsure of attending.
Hi Kathy, I am so happy to see that life is so perfect for you now. Let me take it in order. RE: “Dale, What's going on? I am having the time of my life, Karaoke Meetups, other groups like Subud, etc. thanx for asking. Re: I keep gettting "Good to see you" messages from you after events I attended that you "no showed". Just to mention one Meetup event> I was sitting in the front row at the MOS lecture by Olivia Cabane (Charisma Myth), do you remember? You never saw me, I was right in continued
