Chamber Music Reading Session @ Somerville Public Library

Classically-trained musicians of all levels are invited to join us for a chamber music reading session at Somerville Public Library, main branch.

We'll be in the library auditorium. There's an upright piano, so pianists are warmly welcomed! :) Please bring a music stand and sheet music to read with the group. When you RSVP, make sure to include your instrument so we can plan appropriate music.

Visit the Somerville Public Library website for directions and parking info: http://www.somervillepubliclibrary.org/

See you soon!

I enjoyed this chamber music reading session very much. There were four of us who attended. It felt intimate, quaint.

I play clarinet and would love to play anything in the chamber music repertoire - the Brahms and Beethoven trios are lovely, but I'm looking forward to playing, regardless.

Would you like to try Cooke's Songs of Innocence?

Are the any clarinetists out there who have played Cooke's Songs of Innocence? This might also be played by a flautist or even violin... tx

Hi everyone! Looking forward to meeting up with everyone and playing music Wednesday! (Alison, I apologize for not confirming earlier. A band/music gig changed at the last minute for me and I just found out yesterday)

So Christine, Barbara, Amy and Alison so far. Hopefully meeting after tax season. One other person with me is fine and more is also. Newton Highlands. Consider working on piano ensemble to perform. The smaller the group the greater chance for continuity. forgive fying , eye op1.75 hours ago.

Hi, I would still like to join you at some point but I can't do Wednesdays as my chorus rehearses on that night. Hope you have fun!

Well, I replied before checking my calender, I can't make it that night!. As I wrote Alison awhile ago, in future we might meet at my house (baby grand), good light and 1-2 stands. But I hope to make the next get-together wherever it is.

not sure yet, wow, this is amazing and I hope it amounts to something that can continue. I've been wanting to find 2-3 strings to join my piano in a schumann quartet or some such.
