Latest shooting and meeting

Hi!

The Fort Hood shooting: Reports are out that Fort Hood is a gun free zone except for the MPs who can carry weapons. Apparently this is not unusual for many military bases. We need to remind ourselves and our friends that it is dangerous to work or live within a gun free zone. Fortunately an armed female law enforcement officer got to the scene and bravely confronted and shot Hasan before he did more damage. She was shot in the shoot out. He was within 50 yards of an auditorium with 600 people in attendance. In my opinion this incident was not a random shooting by a madman. In my opinion this was an attack on one of our military bases by a radical muslim determined to kill his enemies. Many news commentators are trying to characterize Hasan's actions as a random tragedy by a madman.

Reminder: the local NRA Members' Council meets on:

The NRA members take an active roll in protecting our gun rights and our freedom. The Members' Council works on holding the NRA Women on Target events. They recruit new members and inform the public about protecting our freedoms at the Del Mar Gun shows. They are also involved in many other activities that are designed to promote shooting in San Diego County. You can make a difference with your participation

Joe Arpaio will be in town tonight (Friday, November 6, 2009) supporting Jay LaSuer for Sheriff. Details:

Let me know when you participate in activities that promote our gun rights.

I have been to a couple of Tea Party events. Most of these folks are strong supporters of the 2nd Amendment!

If you are looking for an outdoor shooting range, you might try one of these. LGRGC is a private club with public events. SBRGC has a range that is open every day. Both ranges are manned by volunteers. EFGA is located near Lake Wohlford in Escondido.

Remind your friends and neighbors when the opportunity arises that they have the right to judge the facts and the law when they are jurors. When enough citizens (when they are jurors) refuse to enforce an unconstititional law, that law will go away. We must not let judges and other authorities intimidate us into giving up this power which was granted to us by our founding fathers. For more information:
