This is the only way I know to get info. on tomorrow's suggested Meetup out on the group email - playoffs at Freetail? Informal? Go to the Beer Club page and read the suggestion tab... It takes a few of us RSVP-ing (lol) to get it posted.

I am completely bummed I missed this. The weather and driving conditions were less than splendid, and I got trapped by darkness at Baytown. There is no good beer in Baytown. Anyone up for a mid-week practice beer?

not enough people rsvp'd for an official meetup, its under the suggested meetups but u wont see it on the meetup app, have to be on the main site...

Thanks, that's too bad. I rarely use the regular site, look at everything on mobile, good to know.

We purchased a souvenir glass and got 3 coupons for beer or 2 beers and 1 bourbon. It was a great deal and the tour was more than I expected.

So are you saying there is nothing today?

    January 5, 2013

  • Mike

Today is a brewstillary tour only.

    January 5, 2013

  • Mike

They've changed their program. They're doing the open house quarterly now. Next one is in March.

  • RUBY

From what I read when I registered, 3 beers are not included in
    the price. Shucks!

    January 5, 2013

    • P F.

They can't charge for them, they r free, I think. Texas prohibition era law or something.

Beer wench here @freetail brewing is telling me they have a tour every Saturday at noon. Omfg! Imagine the possibilities.

I just registered. Do you know if I can pay my $10 at the door
or does it have to be done online prior to arrival?

    January 4, 2013

    • P F.

Sunday like you pay there: "Take a tour of Ranger Creek and learn about how we make beer and bourbon. Take the full brewstillery tour for $10, which includes a detailed tour and a souvenir pint glass. 21 and up. Major credit cards accepted!"

I'm thinking maybe hitting freetail brewing after this? Hell, I might go for a warm-up run tonight.

I will attend. Sounds like a blast! I have registered. When should I arrive? Any other need to know info/pointers?

    January 4, 2013

    • P F.

Probably best to get there a few minutes before 3 for some brief intros then we will bum rush the place, lol. Are we excited yet?

I went to the Ranger Creek tours page, and it asks that your register for the tour... Not sure if that's a mandatory, but here's the link:

It probably shouldn't be me, since I'll be trying to make it in from a long road trip on time to get there. Just in case...

I'd say everyone probably ought to go ahead and register themselves if you're pretty sure you're going to go. It's free and you can always cancel.

I registered. Thanks for the heads-up, Karen!

Hi. I just joined - I've been on my own brewery tour for the last few months, and would really like the company! Hope I can make the Jan 5 Ranger Creek day. I'm on my way home from FL (family home). If all goes well, see y'all there. Otherwise, are there any informal, like "who wants to drink a beer on Wednesday?" possibilities?

I'm not an admin for this meetup group but I think any member is allowed to suggest a meetup anytime, anywhere. With the holidays this group has been slow but we need to get this started again. I'm thinking a cold freetail "end of the world" tonight for me...

Just verified with the brewery and they are having tour/tasting Saturday at 3:00. Also not a bad idea to let them know ahead if it turns out to be a big group.

    I can't make Jan 5.

    January 2, 2013

This date is also the first "first Saturday" free beer fest at independence brewing in Austin at 1pm. Brewery crawl anyone?

    January 2, 2013

  • Clark

They have no tours posted for new year so I threw out 1/5 but I didn't check with brewery. So, if someone can call them, that date may work???

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
