I am a big fan of stouts and porters, and the occasional smooth red. (Most are more hoppy than I like.) I would say the best stout I have had was one at the Kingston Brewery back east, a pull tap nitrogen oatmeal stout, (2013 edit, Chernobyl at Tugboat is a Portland favorite) and Cascazilla is still a favorite red, even though it is crazy hoppy. There are so many great beers in Portland I could make a list of favorites now, after being to over 50 meetups with the group.
Anywhere in the city as I will be biking there or taking the MAX.
Lately I have been more and more into a good stout or porter, imperials are interesting too, but usually a bit strong unless one is really smooth and not too bitter. I also enjoy a good smooth red, or some with a bite too like chipotle or jalapeno ales. Spruce ales are interesting too. As of late I've been more and more into sours and farmhouse ales.
I endeavor to enjoy a new tasty brew on a regular basis.
To taste the brews that Portland has to offer!
