oops almost forgot - Ken (the brewer for those unfamiliar) told me in about 2 weeks they will be coming out with a TRIPLE chocolate cherry. I believe they already have a DD - cheers!

Weather-schmeather, I had a really good time at this event regardless. I had an amazing vegetarian pie as well as a meat pie. I strongly recomm their pies, there was even homemade chutney which was also delish. To quench my thirst I kicked off with Sawdust City (or something like that), then I had the Pale Ale, Saison (which was quite nice and very fresh tasting) then I went for the last tap of the Nutcracker Porter - it was great. Craig told me they also had a cask with hints of flavours I was interested in comparing so I exited stage right but alas I was too late - ALL GONE The Leafs punished the Blackhawks 7-3 and thirsty fiends sat nearby so this may or may not have had something to do with it. I happily settled on 10 Bitter Years and ended with Octoberfest. Whew! Sang 2 Christmas carols winded down and called it a night - I'd definately go back for another round :)

Thanks to everyone who came, especially considering the trek some of us had to make to get there - then back home - during the snowy and frigid weather. I saw about 6 or 7 from our Group, a small turnout due at least in part to the weather, but otherwise there were a lot of other attendees in spite of the weather. I had a beef pie to eat which I and others who had it found it to be delicious, and I had Nut Brown, Nutcracker Porter (cask), Saison, 10 Bitter Years and Oaktoberfest to drink, all of which tasted great. Happy Holidays to everyone, including Ken and the Black Oak Crew.
