As the Wheel of the Year makes a turn to another season, it's time for a Tremont Bar Crawl. Join us for an early autumn night out in the Tremont neighborhood. We'll start at the Tremont TapHouse, a crown jewel of Cleveland beer shrines. We'll work our way down Starkweather to Prosperity Social Club, Hotz Café, and The Flying Monkey, then down Professor Ave to Edison’s Pub, The Treehouse, and Press, then wrap it up with tacos at Barrio. Our first two locations, the TapHouse and Prosperity, both have great menus if you wish to plan on an early dinner; locations later in the crawl also have food. See below for the map and arrival estimates. People will depart the TapHouse anytime from approximately 4:45 - 5:30. Move along at your own pace. The group spreads out in order to not overwhelm each bar. Generally there are crawlers at 3 to 4 locations at any given time, so you’re sure to find other crawlers regardless of your pace, or if you join us later in the evening. Look for the name tags, or just migrating groups of laughing people.
Parking: If you start at the TapHouse, I *strongly* suggest that you park near the later locations and walk to the TapHouse. It is inconvenient to return there later. I suggest parking at Tremont Elementary School on Jefferson between West 10th and Tremont Ave (across from Hotz). Make your life easier: cab it or carpool.
Great point Dave: bringing cash speeds things up. It's not every day that 100 people blow through these bars in an hour. Extra bartenders come in just to serve us for the time we're expected at their location, so please be appreciative and generous. [Also be sure to settle your tabs. At the last crawl, your organizer had to cover some food & drink bills toward the end of the evening. Not cool.]
The last three events have been a blast. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a rain-free evening. Hope to see you there!
