Cleveland Beer Week Collaboration Kickoff: East 4th Bar Crawl

Part of the official opening ceremony for Beer Week. This event features 7 small-batch collaboration beers brewed specially for CBW by 16 NEO breweries! We'll pick up our passports at the Winking Lizard and walk to downtown bars to taste all 7 beers.

Winking Lizard - 811 Huron Rd E, Cleveland, OH

Lincoln Taphouse - 230 Prospect Avenue, Cleveland, OH

Pickwick and Frolic - 2035 E 4th St, Cleveland, OH

Wonder Bar - 2044 E 4th St, Cleveland, OH

Advance tickets are required at $25/person and include samples of all 7 beers across the locations. Tickets must be purchased at Eventbright (http://clevelandbeerweek.eventbrite.com/). This event is happening in various neighborhoods around the city. Be sure to pick E 4th if you're planning to join us. Must be 21 years of age. Proceeds benefit the Malone Scholarship Fund. Sponsored by Heinen's.

The beers:

Willoughby Brewing & Brew Kettle: COLLABORATOR, a Dopplebock (9% ABV)

Market Garden, Indigo Imp & Rocky River: TALLBOY WHEAT, a Cocoa and Hazelnut Dunkelweisen (6% ABV)

Thirsty Dog & Portside: EVIL MONK, a Bourbon Barrel Aged Black Belgian Tripel (11% ABV)

Lager Heads & Cornerstone: PANCAKE PORTER, a maple, bacon and coffee Oatmeal Porter (6.5% ABV)

Fat Heads & Chardon BrewWorks: WANGO TANGO MANGO, an India Pale Ale (7.5% ABV)

Buckeye, Black Box & Ohio Brewing: TRIPLE CHERRY DELIGHT, a Belgian Tripel with cherries (10% ABV)

Great Lakes & Cellar Rats: BERLOT, a strong ale aged in wine barrels (9.5% ABV)

Joining the East 4th Kickoff will be Wyatt Routson from Willoughby Brewing Company

Since you'll be coming downtown anyway, be sure to check out a bunch of men trying to walk in high heels beforehand at the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Fundraiser. http://www.meetup.com/volunteerism-253/events/140513002/. You might even see some in their evening wear on the crawl later.

Just found out they gave us the wrong beer at the last stop. Stopped at Lincoln Tap House and the bartender me they had been given something else and told it was the Triple Cherry Delight. That's why it didn't taste like cherries.

Can't say I loved the beers, but met a great couple celebrating their anniversary and enjoyed chatting with them all night.

Hey if you want to join us at the Cedar/Lee Kickoff - we'll be there. The Music Hop is also going on at the University Heights location, so there will be live music along with the collaboration beers. http://www.meetup.com/Cleveland-Draft-and-Cask-Afficionados/events/140899562/

Yep....got my ticket(s). Will be one (of a few from this Meetup) participating in the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" Fundraiser earlier.

On a side note.......anyone have a size 13 women's shoes with heels they can let me borrow. Wait. Perhaps you might not want to answer that publically. :-) A quick email would suffice!!!

On a second side note...... I will probably have an extra ticket to sell if anyone is interested.
