Hey Party People and Fans of Free Live Music--the CHICAGO BLUES FESTIVAL is coming up and we are having a PICNIC!!! Join your fellow Meetup members for a pot luck picnic on Saturday, June 9th. We will have a wonderful time meeting, mingling, eating, and most of all, enjoying the great blues music. Pierre (my Asst Organizer of my Blues group) will be hosting this event! (we are expecting 70+ attendees) This event is being listed on multiple groups...
We have 4 events per year where we invite EVERYONE from all of my groups so people can get a chance to meet up—even if it is not the specific topic of the group. One is the Holiday Party (one for the city, the other for the suburbs) and the others are the Blues and Jazz Picnics, so if you are in a group of mine that is not food or music related, know that we are still thinking of you and decided to invite you anyway! Come join in the fun—details are below:
(Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:30pm - 9:30pm) (end of Petrillo performances - park closes). This should give you plenty of time to relax, check out some of the side stages, and patronize the vendors in the concession area before the main acts take the stage. (See the lineup below)
Location: (Petrillo Bandshell) Butler Field at Grant Park, (corner of Columbus & Jackson) Chicago, IL
We will be sitting on the LEFT side as you face Petrillo Bandshell center stage in the grassy area behind the walkway.
