Friday Night Games at "The Landing" at Crystal City Shops

Let's play games this Friday at the Crystal City Shops in the open area called "The Landing."  There are lots of tables and many eateries in the mall from which to choose. We'll be starting at 6 pm, but feel free to wander in whenever you'd like.

I'll bring a collection of party and board games.  Please feel free to bring anything you might like to play. This is a fun group of non-competitive people who play everything from silly party to hard-core strategy games.  First time gamers are very welcome!  It's a wonderful opportunity to learn some fun games with very nice people.

Parking after 4 pm is free in the garage. Enter the garage for 1750 Crystal Drive on 18th Street and take a ticket. (You'll need this to exit, but there's no charge.) Drive straight until you have to turn left. Park near the elevators and take them up to Level S.  "The Landing" will be the large open seating area right in front of you when you exit.

Anyone want to kick the night off with Mansions of Madness with me?

You can if you want! No biggie either way...if you do, I'd love to play it; if not, I've got Thunderstone!

Steve! I thought you said you weren't going to be attending this week. I had not planned to be there this week because I thought there would be no Descent. Don't think I can make it at the last minute, sorry guys.

My trip got cancelled due to flooding and mudslides in Colorado.

Hey, I was wondering how long we can park in the garage at 1750?

The garage is open all night, and is free after 4:00 pm. Just take a ticket when you enter the garage. You will need the ticket to lift the gate when you leave, but there is no charge.

The M:tG pre-release is at midnight but I might swing by for a few hours of gaming goodness beforehand!

I have three "HomeBrew" expansions for Shadow Hunters that I'd like to try. It'll be hard to even come close to the kill-fest that Daigo carried out last week, but here's hoping. :)

Shadow Hunters is a game I enjoyed the few times I played it, and I think it will benefit from a few additions. More mayhem = more fun. Count me in!

I'd love to make it out for this but probably can't come until after 8. Does that still work? Or do I need to be there when things kick off to join the games?

    September 16, 2013

We play all sorts of games, some lasting only 15 minutes, some more than an hour. We divide into small groups - most games allow a maximum of 6 players, and some allow fewer - so there are usually several games going at any time, and there's always one or more about to begin. If you arrive between 8:00 and 9:00, you'll find plenty of games to play for the next few hours. Timing is more important for getting something to eat: most of the food outlets around The Landing close around 9:00, so be sure to buy anything you want before then.

Great! I'll probably get there closer to 9pm than 8pm, and I'll be sure to pick up some food before I head over. See you soon!

Come at any time! You just may need to wait if everyone is in the middle of a game.
