Meet and Greet by the numbers

  • March 29, 2014 · 5:30 PM

One of the best Happy hours in Bend!  Also, I might add "home of the Drink-a-tini"--what a selection!!  You're gonna like it here.  This time we will be located in the large back room, with plenty of room to mingle.

"By the numbers?"  What's that?  For the sake of conversation only--nametags will be provided where you will write ONLY your age (you gotta be truthful about this, and WILLING).  Ever wonder the ages of an interesting couple that you recently met?  Maybe their retired, maybe their your age, maybe their 20 years younger than you(!).  Ever had that conversation about the Beatles with someone who wasn't even born then?  Anyhoo, just having FUN with this.

I swear if any woman mentions "a lady should never have to mention her age", they will get 2 demerits!!  C'mon, don't be so vain.  This good mountain air has knocked us all back 5 to 10 years anyway.  Hey!  Do I look 61??  Again, just having fun with this.  And it will be interesting to see the mix we have in our group.

Door prizes will be handed out!

Nice turnout! Sorry I couldn't have stayed longer--sick as you know. Today's no better. I'm reading the responses here; I think next time we'll (do names) and a version of musical chairs--REALLY!! That should allow everyone to visit with everyone else. I really like this venue for the space, the food, and the drink-a-tini selections. We'll do this again next month. Stay tuned :)

Always fun and interesting - would have been good to have some way to mingle more with so many people there.

Tom. I just started developing an ocular migraine (4:45), so mostly I can't see. My meds usually take care of it w/in the hour...so hope to see you a little later than 5:30.

Say everyone, We all have four options this evening regarding our age. We can list our Emotional Age (mine is 13), our Physical Age, (mine is 79), our Chronological Age, (mine is 57) or All Of The Above.

It's a shame we're meeting in the back room, and probably constricted at the long tables. I think the best HH we've had in the last year was in the small room...so intimate. Bump into someone or share a lap and voila!..you've got a new best buddy. And she/he doesn't ask your age. Why such a bugaboo?

Bugaboo? Just having fun. And you of all people--like you even look your 55 years!!

Eww. This event's theme may ruffle some feathers--good! Accept yourself, your age. *Thank god I've got a mind of a child to pull this off ;)

Hey. At least you HAVE a mind. I lost mine years ago when I decided that customer service was a good career move for me.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
