Double dip: late night happy hour + viewing the total lunar eclipse. A total lunar eclipse takes place when the moon passes in to the Earth's shadow and appears a reddish color due to light-bending and shining through the Earth's atmosphere. The eclipse should start just before 11pm and last until after 1am.
At the appropriate time, we will walk over to the parking lot (on the other side of Louisiana Ave) and take in the spectacle. Bring a telescope or a pair of binoculars if you have them. If you want, you can wear you binoculars to the event--let's see if any other Bendites are paying attention.
Late nite Happy hour begins at 10pm.
