    A great choice - De Spuyt (http://www....) is a local, friendly hidden gem in the back alley of the typically tourist-ridden Leidseplein area. Excellent selection of specialty beers, a good range of cheeses (always important). Otherwise a fun social excursion on a very cold evening in Amsterdam. The 12-percent Bush (Scaldis) Noel is just what the doctor calls for in such cold...
