Game Night at Townshend's Bend Teahouse

Eat, drink, and enjoy board and card games in a welcoming, friendly, and casual environment in the heart of downtown Bend. We will always have a good selection of games for you to choose from, though you are welcome to bring along one of your own if you want.

I'm excited about these game nights. Although I haven't been to any of your events, I've been to several game nights outside of your events.

Just food for thought, although its been on hold, there use to be organized game nights in the East Bend Library. Basically, he booked the one of the classrooms in the East Library, at the 2nd Saturday night of each month. Much more room in the library than Townshed. Big enough for 4 games of 4-5 players. I know there are many 'regulars' that attend the Game Nights in the East Library. Matter of fact, even though the Facebook group is closed, much activity is still happening. https://www.facebook.com/groups/60811912966/?ref=br_tf

People usually bring snacks, treats and drinks. I know helping the local economy is always important, but I figured I share this bit of knowledge and try to combine the two groups. Some nights will bring in more gamers and others, but maybe utilize both places? -Alex

Thanks for posting Alex -- just one small correction -- the Facebook group that you referred to is not closed -- it is still active and welcomes new members all the time. The only thing is that it is a Facebook group that you have to request to join. This was done because some people have wanted to post their address and/or phone numbers to the group while maintaining some control over this info. So please feel free to join the Bend Community of Gamers on Facebook -- it is an active and friendly local community of board gamers.

And I also wanted to second much of what Alex already said -- that I think there is some benefit to these two groups working together. I am glad that you took the initiative to start this meet-up group and event, and I am happy to support your efforts in any way that I can. See you on Saturday.

I can already tell I'm going to be exhausted from the move this weekend (I'm already there), so I changed my rsvp to a "no". I will look forward to this very much in the future though! You guys have a great night!!

Thanks for checking in, and good luck with the move. Just want to make sure you know that the first game night is scheduled for August 31st (not this weekend, the 24th), which is over a week from now, so if your schedule permits hopefully you can join us soon.

I'm not sure I can make it to this next event, but I'm excited that there's a board game group in Bend! Thanks for organizing this, Paul. So is this group called BBG for short? :-)

You can come up with any creative acronym you want! Looking forward to seeing you at a game night soon.

I like it, since it's so similar to BGG (Board Game Geek)! I'm glad to see so many people interested in playing board games.

My husband and I love classic boardgames. We can't wait to play! :)

I'm a "maybe" on this, as I'm moving this weekend. If it looks like I won't be able to make it, I will change my rsvp, but I hope to join you guys!

Thanks, Penny. It is always appreciated keeping your RSVP up to date because that way as many people can attend as possible, and we can pick games that best fit the size of the group. Hope you can make it to an event soon!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
