Two-Player Games Night

Eat, drink, and enjoy board and card games in a welcoming, friendly, and relaxed environment in the heart of downtown Bend.

This is two-player games night. What is a "two-player game"?

• Any game you play with two players! It doesn't matter if the game can support more players, as long as you play it with two for this game night.
• A few examples of good games for two players are Summoner Wars, Battle Line, Lost Cities, and Carcassonne: The Castle, but there are lots and lots of great choices out there!

You are welcome to bring a game that you think fits in this category to the game night if you like, but you don't have to bring a game. Remember that there will always be a selection of games for you to choose from that the hosts will provide.

    Hi,
I have never heard of these games. Could you give me an idea of what kind of games these are? Are they computer games, card games? Depending on the game I may want to join,
    Pami

Hi Pami! These are all tabletop games (board and card games). Most people know traditional board games like Monopoly and Scrabble, and those games are certainly part of what we play.

However, designers have been making some really great games in the last ten or fifteen years, and we tend to play as many of these as we can.

The most popular of these new games is probably Ticket to Ride, a train game where you collect cards to connect cities on a map. (Ticket to Ride is the background image of the Bend Board Games Meetup page). Millions of people play Ticket to Ride either as a board game or as a mobile app. Some actors and comedians made a Youtube video of themselves playing Ticket to Ride that might give you a good sense of how it plays at http://www.youtube.co... .

The best way to find out will simply be to join us once and see what you think. We will be happy to teach you any game you want to try, or you can bring along one of your own to share with others. Hope to see you at a game night soon!

I'll be there Saturday, but since I work that day I may not make it till 7ish, depending upon my schedule. See you then.
