Cooperative and Team Games Night

We have a new location to try - thanks to Jackie for the suggestion!  The dining area at Whole Foods is well lit, has many large and medium sized tables, and there are lots of kinds of food and drink available.  Management is supportive of our group too.  It's only open until 9:00 PM but is a promising enough location that I think it is worth trying.  Let's give it a shot!

Eat, drink, and enjoy board and card games in a welcoming, friendly, and relaxed environment.

This is cooperative and team game night. What is a "cooperative" or "team" game?

• A cooperative game is a game in which all players work together to try and win the game. Everyone wins or loses together. A few examples of cooperative games are Pandemic, Sentinels of the Multiverse, Forbidden Island, and Dungeon Fighter.

• A team game is a game in which a group of players work together to try and win against another group - or multiple groups - of players. A few examples of team games are Ticket to Ride (Team Asia Map), Space Cadets Dice Duel, and classic "partnership" card games. Many games can be played as team games simply by pairing people up on a team.

You are welcome to bring a game that you think fits in this category to the game night if you like, but you don't have to bring a game. Remember that there will always be a selection of games for you to choose from that the hosts will provide.

Good to see you all tonight! I'd appreciate your constructive feedback or creative ideas about the Whole Foods location tonight (what was good and what could be better). Feel free to simply reply to this post. Thanks!

If we do it again, we'd try to show up by 6:45. Just to order tea and beer.

I know that the Euchre meet-up group meets at Applebees on Friday nights. They close at 11pm on Saturday.

It's great that so many people will be attending! If you have a cooperative or team game you can teach, please bring it along. I'll have several games I will bring, but a few more options would be much appreciated! :-)
