John, are you referring to the Footgaming event you attended? If so, I have to disagree with your comments that her company is not related to tech, as you said. Judy Shasek and her business partners have created patented software and hardware that will change the way people are able to interact with the computer mouse, to play games. She presented at Pub Talk last month, and is also presenting at the Bend Venture Conference next week. My goal was to give Judy a chance to show off her technology, and practice and prepare for her presentation. That's what these Tech Talk events are meant to achieve. Computer games and the technology they inspire are indeed on the cutting edge of new tech. There are many other tech events available for everyone to attend, including educational and networking events, to bring the tech community in Bend together. I hope you can find something that works for you.
