Bergen Grassroots is a progressive political organization, aligned with Democracy for America (DFA) and New Jersey for Democracy (NJ4D). We were founded in March 2005. Our membership now exceeds 350.  The issues that are of principal concern to us are these:

(1) We believe that climate change is a scientific reality and we are committed to the threat that exists and must be confronted aggressively.

(2) We oppose our nation's ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

(3) We seek improved integrity in the voting process, to the end that every American can vote without intimidation and with the assurance that his/her vote will be accurately recorded.

(4) We support single-payer national health care for all.

(5) We are actively involved in the campaign to pass pay-to-play reform in Bergen County. Our 6-year campaign to bring about this reform will culminate around June 2011 when the Freeholders are expected to pass the reform act. If you share our values, join us; you'll be part of a movement to restore America's Constitutional ideals.
