Let's do this thing!

Hi, all!!

I have received quite a few responces to my group take-over. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone with ideas and input - you are all a tremendous help. I am hoping that each of you are interested in continuing to throw great ideas at me, because I think it would be awesome to make this group a kind of collaborative effort to explore Berkeley.

I am scheduling the first meet up for the new "New to Berkeley?" group as a food & drinks event at Bobby G's Pizzeria. This place is fun, unique, and completely charming. I am a huge fan of the individual topping single slice pizza (choose all the toppings you want without odering an entire pizza for one = brilliant). Mostly, though, I enjoy the belgian ales.. and this is why I think Bobby G's would be a great place to discuss future events and general group goals, and - of course - to meet up! Bring yourself, bring a friend, bring ideas for future events. I know that I have a few fun ideas, and would love to include more into this group.

I am capping the registration for this event at the first twenty people to sign up. This is a very, very large group, and I would love to include as many people as possible, but I would like to use my first event to gain some focus for the group. Please DO NOT RSVP to this event if you have even the slightest feeling that you may decide not to attend. Because space is so limited, it is important that I am able to get an accurate head count before the meetup.

Feel free to email me with any additional questions or concerns. I hope to see you there!!

Your organizer's refund policy for Let's do this thing!

Refunds offered if:

  • the Meetup is cancelled
  • the Meetup is rescheduled

Additional notes: Once fees pay for my Meetup admin fee, I will return all extra money to event participants. I hope the fee does not dissuade anyone from coming, but I would really love to get my $19 back...

Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
