Announcing a new Meetup for Berkeley Area Social Group!

What: Sibley & Huckleberry Hike + Lunch at Ozzie's Soda Fountain

When: Saturday, August 28,[masked]:30 AM

Where: Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve
6800 Skyline Blvd
Oakland, CA 94611

Join us this Saturday for a hike at Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve and Huckleberry Botanic Regional Preserve. This easy hike will traverse about 4.5 miles of trails in two adjacent East Bay parks--including one of the oldest, which was founded in 1936!

After our hike, we'll head back down the hill to Elmwood and have lunch at the re-launched Ozzie's Soda Fountain (Yelp).

We will meet at the Sibley Staging Area on Skyline Blvd. at 10:30. Please be prompt. The staging area is best reached by taking Grizzly Peak Blvd. south over the top of the Caldecott Tunnel. Turn left onto Skyline Blvd. then left again into the parking area. Carpooling is recommended; there is no transit access to the parks.

Be sure to bring good shoes, water, and sun protection to properly enjoy this outing. Cameras encouraged! Note that dogs are permitted at Sibley but not Huckleberry.

Additional hiking information: Sibley, Huckleberry
