Hello Berkeley Residents!
Tomorrow, at least 30 of us are going to celebrate something in our lives right after the sun will go down on this beautiful Bay. It's the time when the Golden Gate drips golden droplets into the water, just few miles across from where we will be. Oh! and on the other side (East), the moon will be rising half an hour later, as a big yellow ball (almost full), behind the Berkeley hills ridge. This will be the time we will all be laughing already...
So... here are the details for the 14th celebration, as I wrote to the members of AltGlobe few minutes ago: (Email me back for any question)
Place: Outdoors, in Marina Park, which as described above can be a very inspiring point in the bay. Full address: Marina Park, 3310 Powell St, Emeryville, CA 94608. Signs will be posted, once you drove all the way into the peninsula from the (80) freeway. You will need to cross an open gate, which is the entrance to the park.
Your Space - For those of you who have not RSVP'd, there is still time to get on board. We have 19 spaces available from the 50. Most of the people who RSVP'd did it via AltGlobe directly.
Arrival: You might want to come before 7pm, get to know already some of the folks and enjoy the amazing sunset.
Laughter Yoga: If you are not familiar or experienced with this practice, that is a great opportunity to get to know, or become familiar with, your most childish and free to express self.
Celebration Circle: In the circle each participant who wishes, can get up to 3 minutes to share his or her reason to celebrate life.
Food: Mediterranean wraps (olive paste with vegetables wrapped in wholesome bread), hummus, grilled potatoes, chai and coffee. Yum!
What to bring: Yourself, some warm clothes, your positiveness, musical instrument, reason for celebration, $10 or more donation and a friend or two. (ask us if there is still space)
Media: KALX Berkeley (90.7) will be covering the Laughter Yoga workshop and maybe wil stay with us for the rest of the evening.
Commute - We opened a forum for that. drop a line there for others to know your intentions.http://www.altglobe.org/commute-14th-one-celebration
