C++ User Group Meeting

  • Aug 20, 2013 · 7:00 PM

Hi,

    I think if there is any member who prefers English over German (and I think there is) than the talks should be in English. There will be plenty of occasions to learn the German technical vocabulary over a beer after the talks :-)

    Do you stay in c-base as long as the BBQ last time? Accidentally at 8pm is also the opening of Fantasy Filmfest with Stanislav Lems "The (futurological) Congress" with the director. I couldn't make it in time but afterwards maybe if it isn't alreade to late....

      We normally stay quite a while after the presentation, but the crowd usually gets noticeably thinner ten-ish.

    Additionally it might attract more international speakers to conduct the meetings in English, as it tends to be the lingua franca for our industry.

    Hey Guys. Do you conduct the talks in English ? I am just learning German and I am in the most basic level which is unfortunately still not enough to understand presentations and talks. :) I would love to get involved with some of the activates as this group is almost entirely related to my interests .. :)

      Usually it is in German. But I think if the attendees are ok with English we can easily switch to English.

      I'm also quite n00b in german, that's why I would prefer the talks to be in german. It's a good oportunity to learn the technical vocabulary that courses won't teach me.
