Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

And the book for the monthly meetup is Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.
I just finished reading this and it has one of those endings that you either love or hate so i'll be keen to see what everyone thinks.

Here's a blurb and link:
One of the most critically acclaimed suspense writers of our time, New York Times bestseller Gillian Flynn takes that statement to its darkest place in this unputdownable masterpiece about a marriage gone terribly, terribly wrong.

On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?

See you there!

Hi guys, I left my copy of Gone Girl on display last night. If anyone picked it up I can get it at the next meet up. Good to meet some new faces last night!

Hey guys, I have made the sensible decision to actually book us a table this time, so we should be in the atrium (the glasshouse kind of area). Will also make an effort to notify bar staff so if you're lost, you can ask them.
    See you tonight!

Oh this is the first meetup I've been able to attend and I haven't read the book. Sounds like a good book though, I live just opposite to the pub so may pop in an say hello. Hope this is ok even though I haven't read the book ? If not I look forward to the next one :)

Hi everyone, I LOVED this book - looking forward to the meeting on Thursday. Yan, we usually run the meetings mid-way through the month (usually a wednesday) and the last Thursday of every month. We will be taking suggestions for the new book on Thursday night and the poll will go up shortly after. Mike, I think we're usually there for a couple of hours or so - really depends on the book! And we usually start the meetups about 7.15ish anyway to allow for any latecomers. See you all soon:-)

    Hi Sanna,

Thanks for organizing this club. I'd love to come to the gathering of the next book as I'm not a hug fan of suspense. Any idea of when that might take place?

    Take care,
