Sorry all for the no show! I've been sick, but am really looking forward to meeting you all. Not sure that I will make it to the next one either as I might have trouble getting the book from the library.

I'm really sorry for not showing up - After lost somewhere on Malvern road and already 30 mins late I decided it was time to go home! I hope to be able to make the next one

Hi Allish, not to worry, we'll put up some directions next time so you can find it. Cheers, Lucinda
g'ah- got lost and confused; wandered around the streets of Prahran for 45 minutes and still couldn't figure out where I was... Very disappointed not to've been able to get my act together- I've loved the book since I 1st read it at (perhaps wildly inappropriate) 14. Hope you had fun!
Hey Laura, sorry you couldn't find it! It is a little tucked away, which is why it's a great venue for us. Hope to see you next time!
I'm late and didn't know how to get there... phone wouldn't go on the internet... but on my way and checking location on library computer..!
hiya, sorry can't make it still at work - good book chouce though!!
Hey everyone, see you tonight!
I'm assuming we'll be outside somewhere, probably in the under cover area, but will post details once we settle on a location. If you're not sure, ask the bar staff and I'll leave deets with them.
Hey everyone, thanks for choosing my book this month! I'm half way reading it again and I remembered why I loved it so much. Will finish it tonight. See you all tomorrow night :-)

Hi Sanna et al,
I enjoyed the book and I'm very much looking forward to discussing it with the group.
I might also be running a little late but should be there by 7pm.

I found an interesting article in the Guardian this year by Atwood herself about this novel. I hope this is ok to send around? http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2012/jan/20/handmaids-tale-margaret-atwood

We meet monthly at the Flying Duck to discuss our monthly book. The meetings are informal, friendly and food and drink are available at the bar.
We take a vote on our monthly book at the end of each meeting and then it is up to each member to read the book before the next meeting.
The meetings are held in the Duck Room at the Flying Duck hotel and there is plenty of opportunity to get food and drinks.
Be prepared to socialise and meet new people. Bring a friendly attitude and be ready for lots of positive discussion.
