Who attended?

  • 60 attendees
    •  The point about client talking abou you whether or not you have a page is telling.
    •  I almost skipped this, thinking I already know most of what I need to know about Meetup and Facebook. Good thing I went -- the seminar far exceeded my expectations. Thanks to Steve Kessler (of Denver DataMan) for an outstanding presentation and Q&A session.
    •  Great information and good presenters. There is still a lot of confusion and mis-information on how to use this media but this presentation provided a good overview and a way for people to get started. I think it would be useful to have some more remedial information/training for people to get started who are not computer experts. It might help to bring an outside speaker who understands a wider range of these technologies and how they can be used by people who are not as computer literate as the presenters.
    •  Great information. The information was presented so that neophytes could get started.
    •  Very good presentation. I look forward to more advanced programs.
    •  This is the second time that I've attended the 'Building Relationships with Meetup and Facebook' workshop; however, I still walked away with several "ah-ha" moments and will continue strengthening my relationships with these tools. Many thanks to Steve and John!
    •  I thought Steve ( and John ) did an excellent job of giving an overview of the features, risks and rewards of the new technologies while allowing for a specific question and answer period. Nice job.

I thought it was very informative and well presented.
    •  Great primer on social media. Just the tip of the iceberg..
    •  Thanks, Steve. Opened my eyes to facebook and Meetup as not just social sites. Great job!
    •  Great Event! I've got some learning to do on this, and it was a wonderful introduction. Our leader and moderator, Steve the Denver DataMan is a great source! He made the event happen, and provided very useful content and discussion.
    •  I never relized the potential of using Meetup and Facebook for building both business and personal relationships.
    •  So much to think about. It was very informative and I am very glad I was able to attend.
    •  I enjoyed hearing about the online networking tools that could be used to help me build my business.
    •  Great opportunity to gain insight into online relationships and get some good ideas for making the most of your online time investment.
    •  Bad is not the right word. Disappointing would be better. There was good intent, but the presentation was unorganized, constantly interrupted by John Brackney (for long stretches) with anecdotals, and just did not leave me with any meaningful take away. I think it would be hard for beginners to know where to start after that, and there was very little of value for people who have begun and believe it to be worthwhile. I believe most of us came to the meetup because we were already sold, we needed concrete steps, not just stories. I think Steve could have gotten us there, but his presentation was co-opted by John. Sorry John. I think you are a terrific chamber president and a wonderful human being. Yesterday's meetup just wasn't the best forum for us to learn all about you.
    •  I enjoyed hearing about how Facebook can help me with social and business relations. However, I can see that I have a lot to learn before I can set up a "plan" (as suggested). Thankfully, this meetup will be repeated next month.
