President's Leadership Forum featuring Melanie Worley-CEO-Developmental Pathways

Join John Brackney, President and CEO and Melanie Worley, CEO and Executive Director, Developmental Pathway for an informal discussion on a topic that intends to mentor business leaders and future business leaders of our community.

Prior to assuming the role of interim CEO in April 2012, Ms. Worley was the Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs for Developmental Pathways for three years. Prior to that she was a County Commissioner for Douglas County for 10 years, a small business owner, and a successful consultant.

Ms. Worley and her staff worked tirelessly with their board of directors to redesign the mission and vision statements of Developmental Pathways to better reflect the true values of the organization, created its first ever strategic plan and a separate company to house the service arm of the organization to provide conflict-free case management.

"Melanie Worley has proved that damaged relationships can be mended through innovative communications and steadfastness. Her ability to influence positive changes should earn her an award for excellence in leadership," says Pat Colip, Board President. "A large number of people were hoping she would become permanent."

In order to reach goals associated with the newly created strategic plan, she needs to continue to shore up relations with a number of potential community partners to help raise corporate sponsorship funding. Additional financial support is needed to serve over 2,000 individuals and their families with unmet needs.

"I am honored and delighted to run an organization where the entire team, from our board of directors to our direct care staff, believes in doing all that we can to enrich lives and strengthen our community. I look forward to continuing my work with the company's dedicated employees and the organizations which support individuals with intellectual disabilities and developmental delays," said Melanie Worley.

Meet at the chamber center from 3-4 just prior to the Chamber Unplugged. For a look at the past speakers and topics at the previous Presidential Leadership Forums please click on the following link: President's Leadership Forum - Past Speakers
