WHAT: The Arapahoe Community College Foundation is planning the first FREE chalk art festival in the South Metropolitan Denver area. Called Chalk it Up to Education, the festival will be Saturday, Sept. 11, at ACC.
WHERE: Arapahoe Community College Main Campus; 5900 S. Santa Fe Drive Littleton, CO, 80160
WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
WHO: Featured Artists The event features four professional chalk artists that will create amazing works of art with chalk.
Food, Business, and Handmade Art Vendors will be available throughout the festival and sponsorship opportunities will be created. The event will be open to students, staff and faculty members of Arapahoe Community College and the general public.
Live Entertainment: The ACC Foundation will feature live music performances throughout the day.

Interactive Chalk Art: Children and their parents can take part in this festival and let their imaginations soar as they create their own mini masterpieces for FREE!
BACKGROUND: The ACC Foundation is working with ACC faculty members in art and ceramics to attract professional artists to the event and to involve ACC students and K through 12 students in the area. The event will include booth vendors and artists selling their works. A VIP party is planned for Friday night, Sept. 10. Tickets can be purchased for $25.00.
