Quack! Quack! Was that the AFLAC duck that you just heard? No. It was the Peking duck that we are going to eat for dinner :-) We will eat family style.  Here is what we will have:

  1. Roasted Peking Duck (3x$35.95)
  2. Cumin Lamb (3x$14.95)
  3. Stir Fried Filet Mignon Cubes in Black Pepper Sauce (3x$18.95)
  4. Szechuan Style Eggplant (2x$10.95)

Memo: Call them 1 hour in advance to order 3 Peking Ducks.

Please bring CASH.  The price will be around $23 + tax + tip per person.

No deposit is required for this event.  However, all of our "Best of LA" Deluxe Dining meetup rules still apply, such as canceling must be done before the 24-hour deadline if you need to do so.  If you cancel for any of the events after the 24-hour deadline or don't show, then you will be removed from the group by our organizer.

This was my fourth time at the Duck House. Prior to this meetup, I had wanted to try other Peking duck restaurants, such as Tasty Duck and Beijing Duck House, to add some diversity. I consulted sundry members of Best of LA for their opinion. All told me that they prefer the Duck House over Tasty Duck and Beijing Duck House. These 3 are the top Peking duck restaurants in the LA area. Ideally, the skin of the Peking duck should be crispy. In addition, there should be no fat or very little fat left after the cooking process. Most importantly, the meat should be moist. I'm glad to say that once again, the Duck House has come through. So don't be surprised if we do another meetup here next year. Once again, you will have to be quick to sign up. We often get people on the waiting list. There is one last thing I want to say before I go. Quack! Quack!
