Chicken Pot Pie and Chicken Tikka Masala. When I'm sick I crave sushi with lots of wasbi and all things kimchi. I think bacon makes everything better.
It was at Pure Food and Wine a gourmet raw food restaurant in NYC. It was a tasting menu so I had about 10 different things but two items really stood out. It was a Russian mushroom that had the texture and taste of a scallop. It was lightly "poached" in broth of rice wine, micro-greens and pink sea salt. The deserts for great too but the best thing was a lavender, peach sorbet. I normally hate all things lavender but this desert made me a convert. At first I could only taste the peach but on the back of pallet the lavender just burst through "calming" down the intensity of the peach. It was very nice.
I think different cities have different foodie best. I lived in Arizona for three years and think it has some of the best Mexican food. There are variety of restaurants that specialize in the various regions of the country. I like NYC for the vegan/vegetarian/raw selections. I have yet to see where LA falls in the bunch.
Don't know yet. But nothing has really blown me away yet.
Yes. Got it.
I've been in LA since last July but most of my friends are as adventurous food-wise as I am. I'm hopin got meet like minded folks.
Looking forward to more.
