Truffle mac and cheese
On a recent trip to Atlanta, I dined at Restaurant Eugene. The meal was truly transcendent, presentation was exceptional and each dish in the tasting built skillfully upon the next. If I had to pick a moment of pure palate nirvana, it was the duck foie gras with blackberry espuma, foie gras powder, pecan puree, and zucchini bread. Honestly, I just had to close my eyes and practically weep from the perfection of the bite. The richness of texture and the blend of savory and sweet was masterfully done. If you are ever in Atlanta, this is the place to try.
That is tough - I'm in LA most of the time and I love the variety that we have. New York is absolutely sensational and after a recent trip to Atlanta, I have a reason to go again.
