Depends on my mood- but the carnitas tacos from the nearby King Taco truck in Boyle Heights are pretty darn satisfying.
Rut & Lek Seafood in Bangkok's Chinatown- you sit at small outdoor tables that are put on the sidewalk at night. Noisy, smoggy, but wonderful food and a street circus show.
I've travelled a lot, and I think that LA has one of the most diverse food scenes.
They don't have the most gourmet food, but the ones I go back to the most are Via Cafe (Chinatown), The Galley (Santa Monica) and The Adventurers Club (Lincoln Heights).
I live in Venice Beach, and I work in an artist loft compound in East LA- so I love the urban LA experience.
I very much enjoyed the company, and I look forward to trying some other new places.
