RSVP on Eventbrite: http://treasuryio.eventbrite.com/
Show some open-data, open source love for Ashley and our friends, csvsoundsystem!
They will be hosting a night of hacking and celebrating in honor of the launch of their recent project, Treasury.io: the first-ever electronically-searchable database of the Federal government's daily cash spending and borrowing.
From csv soundsystem:
"Treasury.io is an open-source project made possible with help from Knight-Mozilla OpenNews. It turns previously computer-illegible spending and borrowing data files from the U.S. Treasury into a queryable SQLite database. You can quickly analze things like medicare spending over time, distance to the debt ceiling or graph the effects of sequestration.
We soft-launched the site last week and now it's ready to be released to a wider audience and see what they make from it. Please join us and show us what you can make with it!
An RSVP is appreciated so we know how much beer and pizza to bring."
