Civic Hacknight

This night is for technologists, designers, developers, and mapmakers who are working on projects. Consider this to be a bit of a study hall. Bring your projects, apps, datasets, and questions, and we will try to collectively answer them.

Lightning Talks from Members of our Community:

- Tavis Allison of the Mount Sinai Department of Emergency Medicine will share plans to sponsor a hackathon focused on enabling community participation in disaster management and emergency preparedness simulation.

- David Fine of Placemeter will share their program crowdsourcing data collection sensors throughout New York City.

- Steven Adler of IBM will show us an example of Open Data and System Dynamics in a Smarter Cities Simulation created for the City of Portland

Can't make to this one but looking forward to the next one. BTW, I'm a newbie to this environment so are they any prerequisites to coming to these meetups?
