I am looking forward to the opportunity of participating in Reinventing nyc.gov this weekend however I noticed that there is no participatory framework in place at the web site http://reinventnycgov.com/

I'm wondering whether we might be able to make use of Google+ Hangouts as a communication vehicle among and between the participants - and one that could allow for significantly broader participation than the meeting space can accommodate physically. Perhaps it might be possible to livestream and archive the hangouts.

Meanwhile, the twitter hashtag is #reinventnycgov

Looking forward to seeing some of you there this weekend

PS I had a good hangout with Tom Lowenhaupt earlier today touching on some of the many issues relating to the establishment of a .nyc top-level domain and looking forward to seeing how regular .nyc hangouts - with more participation - might help to much-needed public attention and discussion of the potentials and critical issues - eg of ownership and governance of the tld itself and of city neighborhoods, landmarks, etc as well as public participation.
