Hello Friends,

One of the stipulations in ObamaCare was the creation of digital health records exchanges. Here in NY, the NY eHealth Collaborative and health 2.0 are putting on a design challenge.

While the invite seems to be a bit at the last min, this does look to be promising conversation.

Next week Tuesday, 2/19 we'd love for you to join us at Impact through Access: Patient Portal for New Yorkers Challenge.

New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) and Health 2.0 are calling on designers, developers, entrepreneurs and creative thinkers to reimagine and facilitate access to your medical records.  The challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to design New York's first statewide patient portal for health records—a website for patients to securely access their medical records online. NYeC’s overarching goal is that no patient, wherever they may need treatment within the State of New York, is ever without fast, secure, accurate, and accessible information.

If you want to help create change around this issue, join other collaborative minds to enter the Patient Portal for New Yorkers Design Challenge.  Teams will have until April 11 to work on and then submit a design for the Patient Portal Challenge. The top portal interface designs will be chosen and voted upon by New Yorkers after the deadline. $25,000 in prizes are available.
