Announcing a new Meetup for Open Government NYC!

What: Governing Open Gov: Planning our Meetup and Sharing Current Projects

When: April 6,[masked]:00 PM

recommended donation: $5.00 per person

Where: New Work City
200 Varick St
Room 507B
New York, NY 10014
[masked]

Meetup Description: The first meetup was a great start, and a clear demonstration of the potential energy around open government in NYC. Now we have to figure out how to grow this movement.

This second meeting will be a structured and moderated discussion about the future of the meetup, and will include discussions about current projects that our members are working on (so it won't all be meta-talk).

Here is a summary of the proposed agenda:
1. Ground rules for the discussion
2. Presenting projects, mapping needs and resources
3. The future of the meeup
4. Next steps, assigning responsibilities

You can read/comment on/edit the full agenda at <http://groups.google.com/group/open-government-nyc/web/4-6-meetup---proposed-agenda>.

Discussion will begin promptly at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend the organizers pre-meeting from 6-7pm, at which we will work out the discussion ground rules and other mechanics of facilitation.

Finally, there will be a *highly-recommended donation* of $5 per person to New Work City, for use of the space. We'll pass the hat at the meeting.

Can't wait to see you all on Monday! The Independence Year Foundation will once again provide food and beverage.

Your Fearless Organizer,
Matt
