Noel Hidalgo suggested I pass this along.
The digital team at my job is currently responding to an RFP to
upgrade an existing government website that is built in Joomla! We
have the rest of the skills required for the RFP (writing, design,
website experience), but we are still looking for someone to provide
the Joomla piece.
The project wouldn't start until January 2014, but we have to wrap up
the RFP in a couple of weeks. The quick and dirty summary: the hours
will vary depending on the clients' needs, but won't go over 40 a
week--and we are sure will sometimes go very much under. The project
will last at least a year. The position is freelance.
The Joomla developer has to be onsite at least some of the time in
Hell's Kitchen in New York City, to integrate with the team. (We are
across the street from a BBQ joint, and have a gym in the basement, a
roof garden, and onsite bicycles you can borrow. Not bad.)
If you want more info, or just want to send me your resume, feel free
to at [address removed]. If you are tied up, but would like to
send your resume, please do--we are likely to be doing more pitching
in the future.
