It would be great if you know of other cities that are models, to share those links too.

We can use better maps in other cities to push for changes across many cities.

It's a good start, but it'd be far better if we get the raw data with lat/longs.

In Oakland, CA, the City Police Department share not only a map, but tabular data as well:


And with that, the local Civic Tech community has built awesome stuff like CrimeSpotting, replete with an API.


Noel is already spearheading an effort to push for this.  Let's join forces and petition our representatives to follow Oakland's example.
