Re: [betaNYC] Neighbors online trends in NYC?

NextDoor came to the Bronx Community Board 9 meeting and introduced their service.  Two people signed up in my neighborhood. The neighborhood boundaries are really arbitrary and not practical.  The problem in the Bronx is that people are not yet tech-savy enough to use these kind of services.  I don't expect it to catch on at all in the Bronx.

Say on another point, I asked the 34 registrants for http://newvoicesnyc.eventbrite.com :

Are you a member of a neighborhood, block, or building-focused online group?

Only 9 said no and not one person has selected NextDoor which is surprising. 14 said yes to other options.

Is NextDoor not taking off in NYC?
