This wed, Crime & Public Safety Data Hacknight

From: Noel Hidalgo | B.

We have kicked off a very ambitious series working on building tools for NY City Council, their staff, and Community Boards.

Our first "hacknight" in this series will focus on Crime and Public Safety < >.

For this night, we will explore a collection of datasets, maps, and tools that surround Crime and Public Safety Data in NYC. We have started a collection of Tools and Data on our GitHub. Please add your hacks, maps, and insight to our wiki. < >

Also note, this night is designed for individuals who can develop projects. This might mean you are a designer, developer, project manager, user experience expert, etc... If you are attending, be prepared to work individually or in a small team. You don't have to have a project to attend, but by the end of the night we do want you to be working on a project.

Again, we need your help documenting tools, apps, and relevant crime and public safety datasets < >. If you have stuff to add to this wiki, please do!

Warm regards,
