I didn’t see a bibliography in PDF on the sidebar: http://www.hraadvisors.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/NYC_Tech_Ecosystem_032614_WEB.pdf

Maybe the Press Inquiries contact could help: Iva Benson, Rubenstein, [address removed],[masked]

Please join us for a civic hacknight at the Blue Ridge Foundation in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.  RSVP via meetup.com here: http://www.meetup.com/betanyc/events/174009162/

This night is for technologists, designers, developers, and mapmakers who are working on projects. Consider this to be a bit of a study hall. Bring your projects, apps, datasets, and questions, and we will try to collectively answer them.

Lightning talks from members of our community:

Asher Novek, project lead will share his Master's Thesis pilot <3 (Heart) Gov.  <3 Gov is an SMS based platform designed to connect local government and communities.

Evan Hutchison, CEO & Founder of Omfi/RescuNet will share his mesh network device that creates an intranet with web services that can withstand a total disruption of the power and communications grid.
Mikael Hveem, Team Lead at Commune [kuh-myoon], will share their efforts to build an interactive and real-time choropleth map of community action (local meetings and events) in the public space in New York City. We hope to be able to help contextualize local engagement, as well provide a way of exploring trends and differences between neighborhoods, filtering by issue, activity type, and more.

We hope to see you there!  Here's a gif to help you get through the day.
